WIA Empowers the Nation's Job Seekers

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is a program to aid persons who have been laid-off from their employment due to economic downturn, foreign competition, company mergers or other reasons not related to the person's job performance. Individuals may also be eligible based on income status. These programs are intended to work with eligible workers to provide resources so they can return to productive employment as soon as possible. For more information, please contact your local job center and ask to speak to a local WIA Rep.
